Crystal Reports with Date Parameters

When I try to run a Crystal with date parameters from a peoplesoft panel, the PS Crystal Run-time task diplays on the Windows task bar and the Crystal viewer window appears briefly, then disappears. The following message appears in the message log in Process Monitor:
Crystal Reports Print Engine error text: Error detected by database DLL.
Note: I only seem to get this problem when running a report with date parameters. If the report does not contain date parameters, the process works fine.
