Documentation is linked to the object/s throughout its entire history of development (through a work ticket "CSR") so that you can roll-back to any previous version of that object helping to avoid re-work. CASE STUDIES IN ERP: CASE STUDY - 1 Feasibility Study of Implementing ERP In Banking Industry A Leading Co-Operative Bank having branches all over state of Andhra Pradesh is in the process of large-scale computerization of its operations. This bank has got about 9 branches which are reporting to its head office at Hyderabad. Presently all the operations of the bank are being carried out manually. The team consists of 5 members, who are highly experienced in the software field, has undertaken a detailed case study based on the client's requirement with regard to information, Data security and integrity. The conclusion that emerges out of the above case study that ERP especially People Soft is highly suitable and feasible for this particular Business concern, though extensive customization and design is required. A sample application comprising of panels like Bank master, Transaction master, Recurring Deposit master, F.D. master and reports like transaction entry, customer wise and Fixed deposit and R.D. reports. Extensive validations are carried out using people code. CASE STUDY - 2 Student Administration A Case study was conducted for one of the most popular Junior College in the twin cities with a team comprising of 5 members. This Junior College has got student strength of about 5,000 students. Presently they are maintaining their records in FoxPro. It is found that the reports & maintenance of student Data is highly unorganized, unstructured and inadequate with this system. Based on the extensive case study and with many rounds of discussions with the management of the college, it has been found that an ERP like People Soft though a little bit expensive can go a long way in the proper management, reporting and maintenance of student Data. The management is convinced with the Case Study and is on the lookout for a suitable software package. A sample student administration was built comprising of panels like student master, student details, course details, enrollment details, etc. Extensive validations were performed using people code for this application. The Client is satisfied with the sample application in all respects. CASE STUDY - 3 Student Data The Project mainly aims at maintaining records for course sessions available, course details, available instructors lists, no. of students enrolled, students joined and their evaluation details. This also maintains customer details. It consists of 8 Record Definitions and 6 Panels incorporating Sub-panels and Secondary panels at the required stages. Writing People code for generation of student Ids, Course codes and Instructor Ids. Assigning particular Instructors for student Ids etc., changing any particular data through Mass Change and generating final passed out student records. CASE STUDY - 4 Demographic Analysis For India The study is developed using People Soft 6.0 to produce complete information about State wise population, area of land, area of cultivated land, area of forests and the basic needs like drinking water availability, sanitation, hospitals etc. The case study utilizes Data Designer, scroll level settings to retrieve master details and effective dated functions, Panel Designer, Menu Designer, Operator Security and People Code. Finally Business process map is developed using activity map, step map and message agent.
