This has turned out to be a great discussion with all of you bringing up very relevant points. I would like to add a few more issues to this.
1)What if PeopleSoft starts insisting that clients use only 'certified' consultants?
For eg;they are already insisting that the installation of PS should be done by the vendor or certified consultants or else there won't be any support.
2)Even if we wish to, there is no way that an independant consultant can get a certification. So how do we address this?
