The move is a brillant business strategy - PSG has switched their focus from software licensing fees to professional services. They laid off much of their experienced staff in favor of younger (read cheaper) talent. You take kids out of college without a clue, send them to a 6-week intensive class, give them tutorials (read answers to tests) and now you have a fresh brand spanking new 'certified' consultant. Everyone that is any good in the market knows that this designation is crap and merely for marketing purposes. The Big5 which arguably has the worst talent pool out there is still kept on the preferred vendors list. The real talent, the people who clean up all the horrible implementations, will undoubtedly not bother to get certified b/c our breadth of experience and easily referenced clients will speak for itself.
