This post announces a new majordomo list focusing on PeopleSoft and web development. The majordomo address is majordomo@jayeckles.com, and the list address is psweb@jayeckles.com.
I am a web developer and a PeopleSoft developer for the Vanguard Group in Valley Forge, PA, and I'm also a freelance software development contractor (a href="http://www.jayeckles.com">www.jayeckles.com). I recently took the PS PeopleTools II course, and several of us in that class had web development backgrounds. We found we had a lot of questions in common with regards to the intersection of web development and PeopleSoft development. This obviously is quite a high-profile topic with PeopleSoft 8.
In order to keep in touch, we've created a discussion list focusing on the topics of PeopleSoft/web development. Anyone is welcome to join; if you would like to subscribe, send an email to majordomo@jayeckles.com. In the body of the email, on a single line type "subscribe psweb". That's all there is to it! If you're new to Majordomo mailing lists, you can send the command "help" on a single line in the body of an email to majordomo@jayeckles.com.
This is a new list with only the four founders as members right now, so the volume of email is very low (currently zero). As with any majordomo list, if traffic picks up later and you want to minimize the amount of mail in your inbox, you can choose to subscribe to the list digest. That means that you'll only get one message a day from the list, and it will contain all of that day's discussion.
We hope that this will be a helpful discussion forum for those dealing with web design, development, and programming issues in the PeopleSoft realm.
Thanks and have a good day!
Jay Eckles
